The 2009 Australian Inter-Club Boxacise Championships comprised 15 events over 2 days. Day One with six events at the Academy on the 31st of May saw five time Multi-Event Champion Rohan Parrant take third place in the '15 Speedball Sprint' behind youngster Micky Cunningham. Micky also came up trumps in the '9 Square-Ring Skip' and teamed up with his dad Steve Cunningham to grab the 'Focus Pads Challenge'. Steve also had a win in the 'Freestyle Power Bag' whilst Daniel McNairn hit gold in the '15 Skipping Sprint' and Rohan finally struck the gold vein in the 'Teams Medicine-Ball' alongside TJ Cunningham, Mike Le and Dereck Herbert. The race for the 'King of the Castle Award' went to Micky who scored 19.25 a six point margin on Steve in second place with 13.25, Rohan came third on 10.25, Daniel finished fourth on 9.25 whilst last years Multi-Event Champion Dereck Herbert was back in fifth spot on 6.25, Mike Lee scored 2.75 for sixth, TJ Cunningham 1.25 was seventh and Elcye Hay eighth on 0.75.

Day Two of the Championships on the 15th November was a nine event program and Micky Cunningham captured four, the '30 Skipping Sprint', '9 Square-Ring Speed Skip', Freestyle Floor to Ceiling Ball', and the 'Boxathlon'. Dereck Herbert grabbed the '45 Floor to Ceiling Ball Sprint' and 'Strike-Out Floor to Ceiling Ball' events, with Michael Baker taking out the '60 Speedball Sprint', Daniel McNairn won the 'Singles Medicine-Ball', and TJ Cunningham the blue ribbon 'Steve Macleod Freestyle Speedball' event. TJ's freestyle speedball reflex co-ordination skills were the stand out feature of this years championships receiving a top score of 39.50 out of a possible total of 40 points. Micky on 28 points claimed the 'King of the Castle Award' with Michael second on 21.00 and Dereck third on 19.00. Micky also triumphed in the overall Multi-Event Boxacise Championship with a total score of 47.25. Last years winner Dereck came in second on 25.25, after being in fifth place after Day One, to just pip Daniel who was third with 24.25.
